Policies

House Rules

  • You are responsible for all equipment located within the Studio during your assigned session.
  • Check to ensure that the equipment that you wish to use is in proper working order before recording and notify a producer if something is not working.
  • Do not, under any circumstances, touch the lights or cameras. If you would like something to be adjusted, please ask your producer.
  • Do not hang anything from the ceiling rails.
  • Do not adjust the set decorations. If you would like something changed, please ask your producer.
  • Do not plug anything in without the assistance of a producer.
  • If any equipment or other property (including but not limited to: computers, microphones, headphones, furniture, cabling) in the Studio becomes missing, damaged or inoperable during your assigned session, please notify a producer immediately. You hereby agree to reimburse Loudspeaker Public Media for the replacement cost of such equipment if it is determined that your use was the cause of the damage.
  • Do not remove anything from the Studio without prior written approval.
  • No food or drink in the Studio. Water is okay. (Food is permitted in the lobby.)
  • No drugs, cigarettes, e-cigarettes/vapes are allowed in the Studio, ever.
  • No alcohol is allowed on the premises without prior approval.
  • Please respect the space and leave the Studio as you found it.
  • Your access is for the Studio space only. Do not access or attempt to access other areas of the building (with the exception of the restrooms) without prior approval.
  • Neither Loudspeaker Public Media nor DeltaV Digital, LLC will be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property placed in or about the Studio, lobby, or parking lot.

Safety Policy

All participants at the studio must be vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are feeling sick, let us know and we will reschedule your session. If you arrive for your session and are sick, we will send you home and reschedule the session.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as you can. If given 48 hours notice, we will fully credit the appointment and allow you to rebook at a later date. If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours before your appointment, there are no refunds or credits and the session is considered void.

If you do not show for your session and do not contact us beforehand, the session is considered void and no refunds or credits will be issued.

Acceptable Use Policy

Our purpose is to support a wide array of diverse viewpoints and perspectives. That being said, we reserve the right to cancel any session with content that runs contrary to our values as an organization.

Hate speech is not allowed at Loudspeaker Studios. We will not allow content promoting violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on any of the following attributes:

  • Age
  • Caste
  • Disability
  • Ethnicity
  • Gender Identity and Expression
  • Nationality
  • Race
  • Immigration Status
  • Religion
  • Sex/Gender
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Victims of a major violent event and their kin
  • Veteran Status

Other types of content that violates this policy:

  • Dehumanizing individuals or groups by calling them subhuman, comparing them to animals, insects, pests, disease, or any other non-human entity.
  • Praise or glorify violence against individuals or groups based on the attributes noted above.
  • Use of racial, religious or other slurs and stereotypes that incite or promote hatred based on any of the attributes noted above. This can take the form of speech, text, or imagery promoting these stereotypes or treating them as factual.
  • Claim that individuals or groups are physically or mentally inferior, deficient, or diseased based on any of the attributes noted above. This includes statements that one group is less than another, calling them less intelligent, less capable, or damaged.
  • Allege the superiority of a group over those with any of the attributes noted above to justify violence, discrimination, segregation, or exclusion.
  • Conspiracy theories saying individuals or groups are evil, corrupt, or malicious based on any of the attributes noted above.
  • Call for the subjugation or domination over individuals or groups based on any of the attributes noted above.
  • Deny or minimize a well-documented, major violent event or the victimhood of such an event.
  • Attacks on a person’s emotional, romantic and/or sexual attraction to another person.
  • Content containing hateful supremacist propaganda including the recruitment of new members or requests for financial support for their ideology.
  • Music videos promoting hateful supremacism in the lyrics, metadata, or imagery.

Limitation of Damages or Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL THE COLLECTIVE LIABILITY OF LOUDSPEAKER PUBLIC MEDIA, INC., ITS AFFILIATES AND ITS LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, FOR HARM CAUSED BY OR RELATED TO YOUR SERVICES OR INABILITY TO UTILIZE THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, PAIN AND SUFFERING, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF DATA, AND WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE.

THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
